In this role, you will be responsible for supporting product design and development through transforming complex and technically difficult written material into clear and concise documentation that will be read by target audiences. They will gather and develop product information in order to create maintenance and operating instructions, technical and instructional manuals, journal articles, and other documentation for customers and internal employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with product managers, product marketing and engineers to produce and maintain world class documentation, including User Guides, Integration Guides, API Developer Guides, In platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions etc.)
- Build and maintain client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online video, demos, guided tours, and other educational techniques.
- Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
- Act as an editor to ensure consistency in training documentation across
- Integrate use case and functional data into user documentation and examples.
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, RFP responses, etc.), ensuring a consistent "look and feel."
- Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
- Monitor metrics on the usage of training materials as well as direct customer feedback to prioritize future training investments.
- Timely release of Product Collaterals .
- Timely and effective resolution of queries/ escalations.
- Less product usage queries to support teams.
SKILLS REQUIRED
TECHNICAL
- Cloud based stack and multiple products within it including serverless features
- Jenkins / Terraform / Ansible / Docker, Grable
- Kotlin, Cloud SQL, Swagger, Redis, Circle CI
- Twilio, SEON, Firebase, Cognito
BEHAVIORAL & SOFT SKILLS
- Presentation skills.
- Stakeholder management.
- Domain knowledge- Financial Software solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication and experience working with content in multiple mediums.
- A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Communication or Journalism.
- 5+ years of technical writing experience.
- SaaS experience is preferred [redacted].
- Experience working cross-departmentally to communicate the nuts and bolts of a product.
- Strong experience owning an end-to-end documentation creation process.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Experience working with the following tools preferred: MS-Office, Confluence/JIRA, HTML, CSS, other industry recognized document creation tools.
