ROLE DESCRIPTION:
  • We are looking for an experienced senior blockchain developer who will be responsible for the design and development of the blockchain components of the system and integration with blockchain networks.
  • The role will provide research and insights of the blockchain developments in the market and be a mentor to the team on blockchain projects and technologies to create a world-class finance system that supports WadzPay global footprint. The incumbent must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance.
  • The role will be responsible for ensuring that the engineering best practices are followed, and that software is designed to be dynamically scalable, and resilient to threats.
  • Successful candidates will be high-bandwidth leaders who can cut through the noise, simplify relentlessly, deliver results, and build great teams around themselves. The role will be accountable for driving the entire product life cycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • 3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience – blockchain.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in payments and financial markets. Passionate about the DeFi / NFT space.
  • Experience with architecture best practices, object-oriented design and languages.
  • Experience engineering systems on hyperscale cloud platforms a strong plus.
  • Experience in payments and Financial Systems.
  • A strong desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience prioritizing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines are necessary skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be a mentor to the team on blockchain projects and technologies to create a world-class finance system.
  • Ensure that best engineering practices are followed, and the software is designed to be dynamically scalable, and resilient to threats.
  • Be able to collaborate with the architecture and engineering teams and contribute to and follow our design choices and invent new features.
  • Spearhead the entire product life cycle from inception to launch.
  • Encourage innovation and take a high level of ownership for the product vision, technical architecture, and project delivery.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Total 8+ years of experience, in which 3 years should be in blockchain technologies.
  • Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain protocols.
  • Technologies, especially Ethereum, TRON, Hyperledger.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in blockchain management and data protection. • Well understanding of the Blockchain.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures / technologies and emerging technologies, security measures to protect against cyber-attacks.
  • DevOps experience – Core understanding of and experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), including exposure to world class system and application monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of design and development methods and processes.
